Iguaçu Falls

The Iguaçu Falls are a series of cataracts on the Iguaçu River, overlooking their confluence, the Paraná River. The Iguacu Falls are a collection of big waterfalls that are sometimes overlooked when listing the world's great waterfalls. The falls are three times wider than Niagra Falls and also significantly bigger than Victoria Falls. The Iguaçu River plunges separate the Iguacu Falls into about 275 different waterfalls although they are generally (and falsely) recognized as one. Many islands, varied types of vegetation, and animals surround Iguacu Falls such as 2000 plant species, 400 bird species, and as many as 80 mammals. The Iguaçu Falls are a must-visit location for tourists and locals in Brazil and was even named one of the new seven wonders of nature in 2011. The falls bring in about 1.5 million visitors each year! The Iguçu Falls are a breathtaking site filled with beauty and adventure.
